Help at Your Fingertips

UCIC students have access to a range of academic support services and campus facilities to ensure a smooth academic transition to university level study.

Students are encouraged to use the support services and facilities provided and to contact UCIC Student Services staff for advice and assistance as soon as the need arises. Staff members are available for individual appointments.

Free academic skills workshops are available for all UCIC students. These workshops focus on developing and enhancing students' academic skills in critical thinking, research methods, academic reading and writing, note-taking, oral presentations, avoiding plagiarism, citing and referencing, exam preparation and transitioning to university study. Additional workshops focus more specifically on English language needs such as grammar and pronunciation.
