To secure your place and prepare for your studies, please follow the steps below.
Your Letter of Offer contains important information about your programme and the requirements you need to meet before starting your studies. Please carefully review the following details:
Conditions may include providing official or certified copies of your academic transcripts, evidence of English language proficiency (such as IELTS results), or other supporting documents. Important: You must provide evidence that you have met all applicable offer conditions before proceeding with enrolment and your student visa application, where applicable. Please check your Letter of Offer carefully and contact UCIC if you are unsure about any requirements.
Accept your offer by logging into your myUC account.
Pay the tuition fees estimate outlined in your Offer of Place. These may include Programme fees, Student Services Levy and Medical and travel insurance, if applicable. You will receive a receipt after your payment has been processed, which you can include with your Immigration New Zealand Sttudent Visa application. All payments must be made in New Zealand dollars (NZD) using one of the payment methods outlined in the UC website:

Once UCIC has received and processed your payment and signed agreement, you will receive a payment receipt and confirmation of your enrolment, subject to meeting all applicable admission and enrolment requirements.
Students usually pay their tuition fees before applying for a student visa and submit the payment receipt to help speed up processing. However, some students prefer to wait until their visa is approved in principle (AIP) before paying. If you apply for a student visa while outside New Zealand, you may pay your tuition fees after receiving AIP. You may also be required to use the Funds Transfer Scheme (FTS), if applicable.
To receive your visa, you must:
Pay your tuition fees after receiving AIP.
Submit your tuition fee receipt before the deadline.
Deadlines: You usually have 10 days to meet AIP requirements, or 15 days if using the FTS. Refer Immigration New Zealand website
You will need to arrange accommodation before arriving in Christchurch. For students travelling to New Zealand for the first time, we recommend a homestay, where you can live with a local host family. Alternatively, if you have friends living in Christchurch who can provide accommodation, you can take the option too. Compulsory for all students, Orientation and Enrolment day marks the beginning of your UCIC journey. Be prepared for a supported learning experience! This is your opportunity to get familiar with UCIC, meet fellow students and staff, learn about the support services available to you, and understand what to expect from your studies. You will receive further information about the date, time, and requirements for your Orientation and Enrolment activities from UCIC. Please make arrangements to attend as instructed so you can begin your studies with confidence.
